• Presidential Dementia

"Last week, the weirdo -- he's a weirdo -- Mark Zuckerberg came to the White House, kissed my ass.. kissed my ass. sure I'd love to have dinner. sure I'd love to have dinner, I'd love to bring my lovely wife.

"all right, Mark, come on in."

"Sir, you're #1 on Facebook, I'd like to congratulate you!"
"Oh, thank you very much, Mark, I appreciate it"

The above words were said during a rally in Pennsylvania, on Saturday, September 4, 2022. nearly two years after fired former federal employee Donald J. Trump lost the 2020 election by over 7 million votes (and 74 electoral
votes), and nearly 20 months after he was evicted from The White House.

Trump did dine with Zuckerberg and Peter Thiel at The White House in 2019. According to Meta, the dinner invitation came from Trump.

"Time shifting" is a pretty common thing in later-stage dementia.

I'm pretty sure had Biden said something like "Last week President Obama and had dinner in the Oval Office" a very vocal section of conservatives would sc
am that it was a sign of dementia, and that Biden was unfit for office.

Even if the truth was that Obama was visiting Biden in the Oval Office, or tha
Biden had "slipped up" and was talking about a dinner years earlier.

Biden has made similar slip ups. Does that bother you? I mean, if it
bothers you that a potential future President made one, shouldn't you be concerned that the current President also makes them (and was doing so
    before he got elected)?

I am imaginging that you are a member of a very vocal section of non-conservatives who still gives him a pass when he does so. I could be mistaken.

My post was more about the hypocrisy that seems to come from a few people in this echo when it comes to Biden.

Biden, to my admittedly awful recollection, has never "time shifted" He stumbles over words from time to time, and often forgets what he was saying (A thing I also do, quite often), but never recalls prior events that happened years ago as "Last week"

He has. I don't know that he has come straight out and said "last week,"
but he has definately talked about being VP at various times when he was
not VP, as well as discussing events as more recent than they could have happened (because they involve people who have been dead too long for him
    to be right).

He also has some other body language, and mood/vocal inflection swings,
that are additional signs of early dementia and/or other cognative issues.

And, Trump was showing all signs of frontotemporal dementia. Still does, but he doesn't let it stop his fundraising.

The average age in the senate is 64.3.

We need younger representation in government, seeing as the decisions made
    now affect future generations.

Political parties are firms that sell political representation, but the whole staging in which politicians pretend they are one of us is pure fiction. It is nothing else than a marketing ploy so we get to support their firm instead of their competitors.

"We need to elect politicians that are more like Collective X because Collective X needs representation" is just a fantasy. Politicians will never be Collective X.

Besides, you don't need somebody to be $you in order to represent you. Most mathematicians would get a lawyer to represent them in court even if the lawyer will never know what a Lagrange Transform is.

TBH, when evaluating candidates, I never consider age unless it is something that might prevent the candidate from doing the job he is being paid to do. A 20 years old factory worker does not need the Prime Minister to be a 20 years old factory worker. He needs a Prime Minister who understands and defends his interests, full stop.
