    Called the first BBS I ever logged into from and later ran my first BBS on a 286 12MHz beast. 2400baud, Hercules video, orange phosphor moinitor and dual 5.25" floppys!
    I miss that machine...

    That was around 1987 or 88 I think...

    An 8088-XT with a top speed of 8MHz, a 2400 baud modem, and a 30M HD.

    I would have tried to do it on a TI 99/4A if I had had the right equipment
    to do so.

    That BBS is still running today, too, but on a more modern OS (w/ a DOS emulator) and more modern hardware. Still even has a modem. :)
