Is there a www vector for Element/Matrix?
My Element prog is not loading on my Win7 pc (since 2 days ago). Meanwhile I was wondering if there was a web version like discord provides?

Do you mean something like http://app.element.io ?

That's the one, exactly. Thanks.
Btw, you can install a web version of Element on any web
server if you would like to self-host it. As it only is a
JavaScript application, no PHP etc. is neccessary. Mine
is on https://chat.imzadi.de/, for example :) You (and I)
just have to keep up with updates ;-)

No php? I thought everything was pretty much governed by php
these days.
Are you hosting yours on your own local pc? Or,
can this also be done at an ISP hosting account?
I'm throttled down to about 23-58Kbps at his time until Nov 3.
Your chat url is taking a really long time to respond. Maybe
your pc is turned off? ..cuz it eventually told me that
"Element is unable to load.."
Meanwhile, I just learned of this: https://getsession.org
I'm liking this one. It doesn't have fancy animated stickers,
widgets, or voice calls, but as a pure text comms tool it's
very nice primarly for the privacy that it promises. A voice
message could be recorded and sent.
It works very efficiently (even at 23Kbps! LOL)
Just have a look at element.io for more information about hosting it.

As it is running on a VPS, I don't think that it's
offline. Your connection might be a little too slow for a
timeout in the code so that this message appears?!

I hope that I don't have the need to start using yet
another messenger... ;-)

That is most certainly right. Even 93Kbps is not good enough.

Check it out. It's much easier to authorize and re-install and
sync on another device than Element/Matrix. It is also very
efficient wrt data throughput. It is very suitable for persons
operating on restricted mobile data plans.
