Hardly, 'my' system sends auto updates to 2:25/21 every 12 months and
the next due one is for 1st May.
Such a period is easy to configure for the crontab scheduler where as
every 10 months is not.

Easily mitigated. Just run a cronjob each month to call a script
that'll check an incremental file. When it reaches 10 complete the
script and reset to 1 otherwise increment.

or send in every month, it does not matter anyways
Submissions are valid for 10 months with 2 extras, 1 for std warning
and 1 for deletion warning and the delete/transfer process to BACKBONE only is another month.
So 12 months works.
Running a cron task that what access to a file some where is a bit of a security risk as it runs as root - not going to happen.

If you want to get rid of the warnings just run it twice a year. That
can be easily configured in cron with */6 in the month field. Or if
you want to run it in specific months you could for instance specify
4,10 to run it in april and october.
