    Volume 1, Issue 1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello to everyone! This is the first issue of the e-Ministries
Devotionals I'm starting for the Fidonet MINISTER echo. My hope is
that at least one person gets something from it. My intention is
not to put any pressure or to change anyone's beliefs, but to provide
my personal insight I've gained over the years.

Let's get started shall we. We'll be starting in the very first
book of the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
    (Genesis 1:1 [KJV])

This verse is a verse that is familiar with a lot of people. The
beginning, wow, that was certainly a long time ago. And, from that
time in the beginning in the end could certainly be a long time from
    now too.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord,
which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
    (Revelation of John 1:8 [KJV])

What do you think of as God, when you hear the word, or think of God?

We know according to these two scriptures, that he created the heaven
and earth, and also, He is the beginning and ending.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one
that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
    (I John 4:7 [KJV])

And, we know God is love. What is love exactly? It may be something
other than what you have thought of before. Here is more details...

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity
vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself
unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no
evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth
all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all
things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies,
they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether
there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and
we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then
that which is in part shall be done away.
    (I Corinthians 13:4-10 [KJV])

How much we have to endure to walk in love. Think of raising
children, taking care of your spouse or the elderly. We have to be
patient. We're told to be patient. Patience is a really good thing.

Although, at times it doesn't always feel good, but in my
understanding, it is well worth it, if done correctly. Walking in
love is the most important thing to do.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not
charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
    (I Corinthians 13:1 [KJV])

Be kind to one another. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone was kind?

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour
    preferring one another;
    (Romans 12:10 [KJV])

So, we get an idea of who God is and that God created the heaven
    and the earth.

Heaven, what exactly is that? What happens in the spiritual world,
is materialized in the earthly realm. They pretty much tie each
    other together.

Well, folks, that concludes this issue of e-Ministries devotionals.
I hope you found something interesting here and that you may take
    what you've heard to heart.

Follow the MINISTER Fidonet echo for further issues as, I hope, time permitting, I will be able to be back next time. Until then, keep
your heart and mind open to what's good and we'll see you next time.
