    Hi alL!

I am able to do this under Windows, however, I was wondering if there was a UUCP (or a version of UUCICO) that will let me do UUCP mail runs over TCP/IP via the UUCP port that also runs as an OS/2 VIO mode application? If so, could
someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction to obtaining this gem?

    Thanks!

i would think you would do it the same was as on winwhatever... point UUCICO to
a com port that is mapped to telnet... the real question is if it will send letters and numbers from domain names like it does for phone numbers... the other end would also have to support UUCICO over telnet, too...

The issue is is that my UUCP uplink does not allow that, but he does allow UUCP
connections over the standard UUCP port, which is what I would need a UUCP client for OS/2 to do.

"standard UUCP port"??? that would seem to be different than what you asked about in the first place... if it is a different port, make sure it is specified like we do when dialing other systems on non-standard ports... but then it is still wrapped in a telnet wrapper... hell, get the code and compile it...

Yes, port 540 I believe, which is what UUCPd listens on IIRC.

i'd maybe see about asking paul smedley if he might compile taylor uucp for this... i don't believe the UUCICO that comes with waffle bbs can switch over to TCP but maybe it can... that's the only UUCICO i've ever played with... uncle google shows some stuff and mentions taylor uucp so i'd look in that direction for code and compiling OS/2 binaries...
