Can I change the smtp port to 26 with out causing problems?

I have had to allow port 26 for incoming smtp as well as port 25, due to

I'm assuming you know about port 587 - laptops, and at&t.

Yep, I have that port allowed also. Just that I know of one ISP
25 on their network, so I have to adjust.due to
