• [Bug] File attaches not working

From Martin Foster@2:280/464.27 to Tim Schattkowsky on Sat Jan 22 11:22:36 2022
    Hello Tim!

I needed to send a file attach along with a netmail but although the mail packet was sent, the file wasn't. I noticed that the .flo file was still in the outbound and the contents of the .flo file is .....

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\WinPoint\fido_gaz.txt"

That's why the file wasn't sent because the file isn't located in that directory at all ???

    Regards,
    Martin

    Just found something else .....

I deleted the .flo file and tried this again but before sending the file, I had a look at the .flo file and the path to the file is wrong. So, I manually corrected the path and the file was sent this time. However, after looking at the mailer logfile I spotted this .....

I wouldn't have expected the file to be deleted, so I looked on my HDD and the file is, in fact, still there. Cosmetic error in the logfile reporting?

I already noticed this as well. It is indeed just a cosmetic error in the log file that causes all successfully processed files in the batch to be reported as "deleted" (no matter what the real action was). In reality, no attempt to delete the file is made.

    Tim

    Yes it does, thanks.

One minor niggle though is that the file navigator doesn't "see" hidden/system directories.

    Martin

Fast forward 12 months and I'm having the exact same problem with the file navigator not seeing hidden/system directories when using the EchoArea Management utility to import an areas list from a file.

Maybe I retintroduced that. Fixed again.
