  • Upgrade 3.82 to 4.07 new/reply/comment issues

    Hi Tim,

    after WinPoint upgrade from 382

    -$- WinPoint 382.0
    $ Origin$ Original WinPoint Origin! (2:240/1120.23)

    to latest WinPoint 4.07
    the actions:
    new mail
    reply to
    reply to netmail
    comment reply
    no longer works

    I've repaired the option about 5 times blank "new text groups"
    removed 4 of them, edited the remaining one
    restarted winpoint
    checked all other parameters ... switched option to utf-8 to default
    whatever setting I've updated the actions
    new mail
    reply to
    reply to netmail
    comment reply
    won't work for netmail nor for echomail
    any hints how to get the installation running to accept any edit mail action?

    When you right click the area in the tree and select "Properties". What is the exact window title of the property window?

    this issue still sucks until today ...
    Kees made the (upgrade) installation with the option "keep old configuration" and writing a mail or reply to a mail was impossible.

    Today I've fresh installed revision 4.07 over the existing installation
    (found installation directory C:\Fido\Winpoint and set the option
    fresh new install overwrite existing configuration and viola!

    * write new mail
    * reply to a mail

    now works as expected

    I've made a reg export before the fresh new installation. If its interesting for debugging purposes
